In Saudi Arabia, most of the 33.4 million people who populate the country identify as either Muslim or Arab. While some Saudi Arabian citizens continue practicing the traditional ways of life, by being fishers, farmers and artisans, others have conformed to the more modern lifestyle as a result of the economic changes that have been made to the country. Mothers in Saudi Arabia are supposed to stay at home and raise their children and teach them the Arabian culture. The social interaction between citizens in Saudi Arabia usually takes place in groupings made of people who are the same gender or the same age.
Saudi Arabia, known for its large cities and wondrous capital of Riyadh, is a popular country for people to tour because of how beautiful it is. From the buildings, to the activities, to the amazing restaurants, Saudi Arabia is a very popular country to travel to. It is a very unique country because it displays the transition between modern and ancient times. The architectural contrast between the sparkly, tall buildings and the traditional mud-brick buildings makes for a very captivating sight. Certain places in Saudi Arabia attract lots of people, not only because they are lots of fun to visit, but also the striking views. The most recommended places to visit are the Saudi Arabian deserts, the canyons, and the Red Sea beaches.
Many of the difficulties people living in Saudi Arabia face are based on gender inequality. A large majority of men in Saudi Arabia believe that men are superior to women and that they don't deserve the same rights. Many of them are very unhappy with the recent lift of the driving ban, and hope that it is the last right they are given. Women live challenging lives because they are not able to do many things without permission from their male guardian. Whether it's their father, brother or spouse, women are not allowed to make many decisions on their own, and hope to change that in the next few years. Up until the lift of the ban, it was very difficult for women to work because they weren't allowed to drive, and depended on other people to get them where they needed to go.
